With power comes more responsibility and this is truly displayed by Zoey Redbird in the book. In this 5th book Hunted, fear sets in when the supposed High Priestess of House of Night have turned from their Goddess, towards Kalona who represents evil. Zoey Redbird being gifted with the ability to control all 5 elements (earth, fire, water, wind and spirit), is now entrusted with the task to get rid of this evil. At least to send it away since Kalona is immortal and it’s impossible to kill it. Yet Zoey Redbird is subjected to temptation of Kalona and the problems of relationships which make it more difficult for her to focus on her task. But nonetheless, Zoey Redbird completes and saves the House of Night temporarily.

This is an intriguing story that captures your attention once you’ve started. Though it talks in the context of vampires, but it relates to what we teenagers are going through: temptation, relationship problems, leadership as well as trust.
